Miguel Torres - Chile

Attracted by the special climatic conditions of the Curicó region of Chile, Torres has since purchased more and more vineyard in Chile to cope with demand for his very pure, varietal wines. He now owns some three hundred and thirty hectares of vineyard located around Curicó and spread across three, climactically diverse vineyards. The company continues to expand and has just purchased an area of slatey vineyard around Empedrado, 180km south of Curico. Torres was the first major foreign investor to see the potential for creating quality wines in Chile and has, in many ways, acted as the catalyst for the astonishing development of the country’s wine industry.
