Verdejo

Verdejo is an aromatic white from the plains of Spain, most notably Rueda. It has many similarities with Sauvignon Blanc; plenty of herby, grassy notes and goes a little bit nutty with age. Some examples can be ‘sweaty’ – we studiously avoid these! Freshness is the key though, and it blends well with Sauvignon and Viura. The ‘ver’ prefix refers to the green colour of white grapes.
