FRANCE
This vintage suited the late-harvest, botrytis affected sweet wines. There was enough hot summer weather to achieve ripeness but with excellent balancing acidity for freshness. These six wines are quite diverse in style, from the unctuous richness of Suduiraud through to the lemony light freshness of Liot. Standing out this year are Doisy-Daëne and Myrat which have a fabulous feel, while Doisy-Védrines and Coutet are a touch denser and will last longer.

Wines offered ‘Lying Abroad’ or ‘En Primeur’ provide a good way to secure some of the most sought after wines at opening prices. Prices are clearly marked in our sales literature and are exclusive of duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT. Shipment of claret and Port normally takes place around 30 months after the vintage, burgundy and Rhône usually more quickly. A second invoice for the duty, shipping, marine insurance and VAT on the value of the wine is charged at the time of shipment - view current duty rates.
