The Writers Room at A Taste of Tanners, with Patrick Galbraith
We are delighted to welcome Journalist & Author Patrick Galbraith to the inaugural The Writers Room at A Taste of Tanners, for a special evening of conversation, book signing and seasonal hospitality, celebrating the publication of his latest work, Uncommon Ground: Rethinking Our Relationship with the Countryside (HarperCollins).
Patrick regularly writes for Country Life, The Field, The Telegraph, The Spectator, and The Critic Magazine. Patrick is also editor of the Boundless Magazine and former editor of The Shooting Times. In 2022 Patrick wrote the thought-provoking In Search of One Last Song: Britain’s disappearing birds and the people trying to save them. Patrick resides in London and his native Scotland.
The evening consists of a fizz reception and Patrick’s talk will be followed by canapés made entirely from local Shropshire ingredients; sourced from Shropshire producers and suppliers and prepared by local caterer Ed Potter of Oak Apple Catering.
There will be an opportunity to purchase copies of the book courtesy of Pengwern Bookshop and a book signing with Patrick.
A thoughtful and enriching evening for lovers of literature and the countryside.
Patrick will discuss the inspirations behind Uncommon Ground and share his thoughts on the changing nature of rural life in Britain, weaving together stories of landscape, community and our relationship with the countryside.
We are now paperless and all tickets will be sent out in PDF format a week prior to the event. Should you need your ticket earlier, please contact us.
