There is a whole world of exciting, fresh and diverse white wines in Argentina just waiting for you to discover them. White grapes are often grown at high altitude, giving them the intensity and freshness that makes them oh so drinkable. Leading the charge is Torrontés, this grape variety is rarely found elsewhere around the world and the fresh, floral, spicy, aromatic notes make it perfect for accompanying food. Another style growing in popularity is white Malbec. Made from the classic red Malbec grape, it’s harvested early and pressed gently to avoid colour and tannin extraction. A must-try if you’re already a fan of the red! Meanwhile Cristóbal’s Verdelho has recently made an interesting new addition to the Tanners range.
